School of Information Technology (IT) at Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) and Asia University (AU) in Taiwan held a collaborative meeting to sign an agreement to enhance cooperation in developing curriculum, research, and activities

The Multimedia Technology and Animation (MTA) and Digital Communication Engineering (DCE) programs of the School of Information Technology (IT) at Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) and Asia University (AU) in Taiwan held a collaborative meeting to sign an agreement to enhance cooperation in developing curriculum, research, and activities to enhance the skills of students from both institutions. The meeting took place from June 18-19, 2024, in Taichung, Taiwan.

Representing MFU at this collaborative meeting were Dr. Khemachart Khemavuthanon, Assistant Dean of the IT School and lecturer of the DCE program, Dr. Yuttapong Thongpaeng, Head of the MTA program, and Dr. Pruet Putjorn, Lecturer in the MTA program. They met with Dr. Edgar Chia-Han Lin, Assistant Professor and Section Chief of the Department of Information Communication / Teaching Resources and Faculty Development Center, Dr. Anthony Y. H. Liao, Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department of M-Commerce and Multimedia Applications, and Dr. Hsueh-Ting Chu, Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering.

In addition to achieving an academic cooperation agreement, both institutions will jointly organize activities such as XR/VR/AR, AI, Digital Business Workshop & Hackathon under the name Future Tech X3, scheduled for August - September 2024. After the meeting, the delegation visited AU's advanced laboratories, met with students from AU who previously participated in an exchange program with MFU’s School of IT in the past academic year, fostering cultural exchange and future collaboration.

The success of this collaborative meeting will further develop curriculum and research in Immersive Digital Technology and enhance the capabilities of MFU students to meet international standards, preparing them to become sustainable global citizens in the future.
