MFU School of Digital Technology Hosts “Inspire with Digital Technology” Workshop for Tessaban 6 Chiang Rai Municipal School

On July 2, 2025, the School of Digital Technology, Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) hosted a one-day hands-on workshop titled “Inspire with Digital Technology” for 122 high school students from Tessaban 6 Chiang Rai Municipal School. The event took place at the School’s digital lab in Room S7A, MFU campus.

The students were divided into four groups based on interest, each engaging in an interactive learning experience focused on real-world applications of modern digital technologies. The training tracks included:

Group 1: Introduction to IoT with ESP32
Students learned how to use the ESP32 microcontroller to connect real hardware and understand the basics of IoT systems — a foundation for future engineering studies.

Group 2: Network & Cyber Security
This session introduced key concepts of network engineering and cybersecurity, providing hands-on experience with real network equipment.
Instructors: Lt. Thapakon Sasiwimonlak, Mr. Sitthichai Tanduang, Dr. Thitiya Chomngern

Group 3: Art Toy Design and 3D Modeling
Students explored the art of character design and built their own 3D Art Toy prototypes using digital sculpting tools.
Instructors: Ms. Siwaporn Boonsamuan, Mr. Piyawat Paramee, Dr. Banphot Nobaew

Group 4: VR/AR Experience and Motion Capture
Participants experimented with virtual reality (VR), AR technology, and motion capture systems while learning about game development and animation production.
Instructors: Asst. Prof. Dr. Yutthapong Thongpaeng, Mr. Jetmanas Ratisaksunthorn, Mr. Ratchanon Nobnop

The workshop was conducted in morning and afternoon sessions, allowing students to explore different fields based on their interests. Each session combined expert lectures with hands-on practice to enhance understanding and engagement.

This initiative aimed to ignite students’ passion for digital innovation and empower them with essential knowledge and skills to pursue further education or careers in the digital technology sector — aligning with MFU’s mission to cultivate knowledge for a sustainable future.
